HICAPS - Gap Override and Printed Receipts
Gap Override
You may choose to override the gap payment incurred by the client following a HICAPS claim.
NB: the Gap Override option is only available for a single service charge claim and where the appointment has not been invoiced. Gap override is not available for service charges used in a class appointment.
Printing HICAPS Transaction Receipts
When processing claims using your HICAPS device, you can choose to print the transaction receipt from the device or from GPM.
Note
- Transaction receipts (provider copy and patient copy) can be printed from the HICAPS device or from GPM (not both).
- By default, transaction receipts are printed from the HICAPS device
- If choosing to print from GPM, the transaction receipts will be printed to the printer configured as default on your computer (see Control Panel >> Devices and Printers)
Transaction receipts are printed when performing a HICAPS transaction, a Manual HICAPS transaction or Cancelling a HICAPS transaction.
The information provided on the receipts is as defined by HICAPS.
