Issue

Gensolve Practice Manager cannot be installed/does not work on a non-Windows device.

Reason

Gensolve Practice Manager can only run natively on a Windows environment. Gensolve Practice Manager can be installed within a virtual system on an iMac or a Mac laptop, but you cannot do the same on an iPad as they don't have the required processor a desktop or laptop has.

Solution

1. Amazon WorkSpace is a fully managed desktop computing service in the cloud. It allows customers to easily provision cloud-based desktops that allow end-users to access applications, such as GPM, with the device of their choice, including laptops, iPad, Kindle Fire, or Android tablets.

2. VMWare Fusion is a way of running GPM within a non-Windows environment using technology referred to as "virtualisation". This virtualisation product allows Windows to run alongside your existing operating system.

3. VMWare Parallels allows you to use Windows side-by-side with OS X on your Mac and use GPM within a non-Windows enviroment by creating a virtual machine (eg: Parallels) and installing Windows into it.

Please note that the above products are alternative suggestions for users who do not have a Windows environment. They are in no way provided or supported by Gensolve Practice Manager. Any technical issues specific to the products above will need to be addressed by the relevant support team of that product or third party IT support.
