A template merge in Gensolve Practice Manager is similar to a mail merge in Microsoft Word..

A template merge allows you to quickly create an MS Excel file, multiple emails or multiple MS Word documents by selecting the required data from the GPM application and then selecting the type of template merge to run.

In this tutorial, you will learn how to run a Template Merge and use the data to send SMS in bulk.

In this example we will retrieve client data that matches the following criteria:

  • The client has a mobile phone (this is mandatory as we will be sending an SMS) and
  • Either the client has had an appointment in the last month or
  • The client has contacted the clinic in the last month .
