Services Australia now require extra information when processing DVA Claims for Veteran White Card Holders.  The White Card covers veterans for Clinically Required medical treatment in Australia for their Accepted Service-Related Injuries. As a result the Accepted Service Related Injury must be stipulated in the claim before it can be submitted.

Note: The Accepted Service Related Injuries are listed on the White Card. You can also contact DVA for confirmation.

Prerequisites:

  • Your Gensolve Practice Manager Organisation has been setup to use Medicare Online. If not contact Gensolve Support
  • Details of the client have been updated for DVA Claiming and a Private Condition for DVA Claiming has been created.
  • You know the Accepted Service Related Injuries (the conditions) the White Card holder can claim for.
  1. Edit the client >> Tick the White Card?  box next to the client's DVA Number

  1. Edit the client >> Conditions >> Select the relevant Condition as setup in the prerequisites above >> edit the Condition
  1. Add the Accepted Service_Related Injury in the Injury Desc. field >> Save .Note: It must be in CAPITAL LETTERS. You are unable to submit the claim if it is not entered in capital Letters.

  1. When Processing the DVA Claim (See link in the Prerequisites section), the Injury Description flows through to the Condition Treated field on the claim screen, you are then able to Submit the claim.
