Devices with Low Screen Resolution
Issue
When running Gensolve Practice Manager on a device the screen does not support the content.
Reason
Screen resolutions lower than 1024 x 768 are not supported. Please refer to System Requirements.
We recommend a minimum resolution of 1024 x 768 to full functionality.
Solution
Should you wish to run GPM using an unsupported device with a screen resolution lower than the minimum required, the following workarounds may help:
Option 1: Choose a Scrolling Resolution
Some devices with smaller screen resolution include "scrolling" screen resolution settings.
Follow the steps below to select a scrolling resolution (if available on your device):
- Go to Start >> Control Panel >> Display >> Screen Resolution
- Select 1024 x 768 (Scrolling) if this is available
- Save and confirm.
Option 2: Move Affected Windows as required
If a displayed window is larger than the screen display (for example, the Save button cannot be seen because it is off the bottom of the screen), follow the steps below to move the window:
- Click within the affected window
- Press Alt + Space Bar (both keys together)
- Press the key M
- Use the arrow keys to move the window to the desired location on the screen.
Option 3: Install a third party tool
Third party tools are available so that applications designed for specific screen resolutions can be run a devices with lower resolutions.
An example can be found at GiMeSpace,
Note: install the latest version of GiMeSpace and register with a small fee to enable vertical scrolling.
